He came and I described to him what the job entails- remove overgrown vines, remove weeds in between concrete pavers and bricks, power wash the pavers, red mulch the flower garden and plant a few flower plants. He then came at another day and presented me with the written contract for $900 and ask for half of the payment in which I issued him the check and he cashed it in. The days that he was suppose to start, he did not show up for one reason or another(father in hospital, weather). On the third day he showed two hours late (car trouble) than the time he said he would come. After thirty minutes he left and emailed me that the work was more than he anticipated and is not coming back and broke our contract. I asked him to refund me the down payment I gave him ($400). It has been more than a week now and I haven’t received my refund. I am a senior on limited resources and do not appreciate the situation that he put me in. I would not trust a person like him He is out to get you especially an older person like me.
