FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I specialize in contemporary wedding photography, Customized nontraditional Senior Portraits that aren't your out of the box studio type, and this lead me to photographing families. Usually of the Seniors or ones who had seen their family portrait and wanted a family portrait before their child went to college. Once again not the matchy - matchy type - soon families with lil' ones were calling for the same type of family image as well. This be yourself - custom works great for children I don't know how others would do it any other way.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
A lot of people under estimate the skill that it takes behind the camera lens. With today's digital cameras most people can take a lot of good images. So why would you hire a professional ? A professional has equiptment that is very expensive . Lights- Camera etc. I would estimate the shoot requires $10,000-$15,000 worth of equiptment. Now comes the knowledge of learning how to use that equiptement. Todays professional cameras are not point and shoot. You need to know how fast you want the shutter to go or how slow. How much light you want into the camera. What the best lens is for the shoot. As each lens will have a strong point. That is just the equiptment. After you get past the equiptment - What style do you shoot, formal, contemporary, photojournalistic or something inbetween. Most photographers develop a personal style of their own after learning the techniques. And I believe I mentioned Light before - which is what photography is all about - so how are you going to capture that light.
