I hired heto help me with a case that I have scheduled in July 2026. I paid the fee to book her but after tha the communication ceased. I called few times because my kid's father put my autistic daughter on his insurance just to get a lower amount I called her just to see what needed to do to handle his situation and she never responded. Every time I text, I'm met with lets talk, let's meet but that even gets rescheduled or forgotten about. I don't have a lot of money and I chose her over another attorney because of that and she sounded convincing. Now I'm regretting that decision and I asked her for my money back so I can use that money towards a new attorney. I'm already stressed out and worried about this situation and I hired an attorney so I won't have to feel overwhelmed by being in that room with my kids father and now I'm scared to finish paying her anymore money. I just want my mone back.

I cannot answer phone calls every day, or have several Zoom meetings for a support hearing scheduled 2 months away. I understand anxiousness, but i cannot be there every-time you feel anxious. That’s just not realistic.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work on either an hourly rate or flat fee basis. I believe that client's should be involved in discussing and determining fees. I do work with people to arrange for payment plans.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with a client for a 60 minute no cost consult so that we can spend enough time together both to review the case, and decide whether we feel comfortable together. It's always best if you are not only confident with my skills and knowledge, but feel that we will make a good working team.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Juris Doctor degree (Law), and a Master's Degree in Speech Communication, which has sharpened my ability to present your case with clarity, strength and a persuasiveness necessary to enable a Judge or Master to truly "get" what your position is.
