FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Monthly lesson payments are collected the first lesson of every month. Additional perks to lessons are Studio Circles via Zoom once a month. This is an opportunity to learn from others and share what we are learning and struggling with in lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Lessons include ear training, technique building through scales, etudes and various exercises, along with repertoire. You'll learn to play by ear and read music. You'll learn music history and music theory along the way too. I'd say 90% of my students take an hour lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Music in Viola Performance from the University of Arizona and a Master of Music from Temple University in Viola Performance. I have performed with The Arden Theater here in Philadelphia, and have performed solo, in a chamber setting, and orchestral settings in the finest concert halls across China, Italy, England, and the USA. I have taught 30-40 students each week at varying ages and levels since 2015 and was on the faculty of the Interharmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Italy in 2018.
