- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was actually very difficult. I honestly wasted a few years (yes... years.) trying to choose between photography and graphic design as well as working for someone else versus working for myself. After a couple "jobs" doing both for other people (I was a Graphic Designer at Alcoa and did editing work for a Photographer on the side) it hit me like a ton of bricks that I didn't HAVE to choose! If I had my own business and worked with individuals AND businesses, I'd have a great balance between my two loves. And I do! So when I had our first born, I decided to take that leap and started this new adventure! And I couldn't be happier with that decision every time I see my clients' light up when they see their images for the first time!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I do a lot of family portraits with whole family and/or small children, as well as Weddings in the Pittsburgh area. I travel for on location sessions.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Hire someone who's portfolio you are in love with. If you love what you see, then you'll love what you get!
