Introduction: I specialize in riding instruction at a smaller private facility. Since I do not have boarders, I can concentrate all my time on providing quality individualized instruction on experienced show horses. Many of my students have progressed in their riding and gone on to successfully competing on their college equestrian teams.

I've been riding at Concord Acres for just over one year and it's been an incredible experience. I took a 5 year hiatus from riding and was nervous to start again. Ruth has been nothing but encouraging and helpful. She knows how to push you to the next level while respecting your comfort zone. Ruth makes sure to diversify groundwork exercises and jumps to keep lessons interesting. The horses are all quirky, capable and fun to work with. I have an unforgiving schedule and Ruth has always been able to accommodate me. I highly recommend riding here.

My girls just started riding with Ruth and they absolutely love it. Ruth is very patient and knowledgeable and she values the riders safety. Also the ponies she has are perfect for the young ones just starting out.

I've been riding at Concord Acres for 10 years. As an adult rider, it's great how Ruth's reasonable pricing and flexible scheduling allows me to fit my lifelong passion into my busy schedule. Recently becoming handicapped, Ruth has spent countless hours helping me rehab and learning how to adapt in the saddle to my new disability.

When is was younger I had a bad fall at different barn and wouldn't get back on. After a two year break I went to Ruth's and started riding Patches. I completely regained confidence! The ponies are awesome and she has one for the 3 year old beginner or the advanced shower ready to compete. I still ride at concord acres and plan on never leaving. Ruth teaches in a way that pushes you but does not make you feel pressured or nervous at all. I love it here. I highly recommend this barn and instructor for anyone who just wants to have a Great time riding. :)

Private Horseback Riding Lessons

I haven't ridden in years and I was afraid that I would have lost any of the skills I'd developed when I was younger. Ruth was great at pinpointing where I could use development and what areas I still had a solid base in. Every week I learn something new and strengthen the areas I've already learned. She's always on time and ready to go as soon as I arrive. I love working with her and am excited to keep improving under her direction
