- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge a fair market price for our services. We are not the most expensive contractors, nor are we the cheapest.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule a time to meet customers at the location of the renovation or new construction. We do measurements and listen to the customer explain to us what they envision for the space. We will give the customer a rough estimate of costs if asked, but a formal estimate is sent after the meeting to give a complete cost breakdown of the project. We want the customer to be fully informed of all known costs for their project.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Our Founder Norm Smith built several homes in his lifetime. When a corporate downsizing left him with out his computer programming job, he decided to market his skills in home construction and started LANCO Construction. As his daughter, I grew up with a hammer in one hand and a screwdriver in the other. I worked in the accounting field after college. As a homeowner myself, I've done a lot of work on my own home. So eventually I parleyed my business skills and building skills into working for the family business. And now here we are 5 years later.
