FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing structure is pretty straight forward: $150 includes the portrait session, complementary consultation and an online proof gallery to view and order images. Professional wall art and high-resolution digital images are available for purchase online. Prices start at $40. There is no minimum fee. Customers on average spend $450 and up.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet each new client in person (or at least on the phone) to talk through the portrait session. At this time we will get to know each other, share ideas on locations, poses or looks you are interested in, wardrobe and accessories. We will walk through the session to have a timeline so that both you and I know what to expect. This is also a time to talk through some of the anticipated fears and joys of having your photo taken. During the consultation we will go over the reveal session which will happen approximately two weeks after the portrait session. This helps me understand what wall art, albums and digital files you are interested in and to show you samples of my work. This initial consultation will lay the foundation for the upcoming portrait session to make it an all-around enjoyable experience for all and give you the images you had hoped for.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training has been mostly through online classes and in-depth workshops, daily hands-on practice and ongoing collaboration with other photographers in the area. I am a member of multiple photography groups that focus on various techniques from posing and lighting to composition and photography equipment. As a creative photographer I continuously work on improving my skills in both technical and artistic areas.
