FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge affordable rates for half hour and full hour sessions. I also do discounts for couples, youth athletes, and senior citizens. I may charge a slight service fee depending on how far away you are and where you want to train. Please inquire for more.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first thing I do is get to know the client: why are you interested in training and why now? What is your fitness experience like, and how often are you willing to commit? Once we have the details figured out, we’ll do a one-on-one fitness consultation that covers medical history, a functional movement screening, and a brief workout that’s tailored to your needs. From there, we’ll see if we’re a good fit, and move forward accordingly. If we do continue to train, we won’t just work out together, but I’ll provide you with the workouts and other things to keep you healthy outside of our sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In addition to my professional certificates in personal training, nutrition coaching, and behavior change specialty, I’ve worked in professional gyms for three years as a trainer, strength and conditioning coach, head trainer, and general manager. Before I became a professional trainer and coach, I competed in martial arts throughout college in Karate, and Taekwondo. My instructors and teammates were and in some cases still are some of the best in the country; they provided me immense knowledge and training that gave me the edge over the competition. I’ve also interned with extraordinarily talented and successful fitness teams to improve my skill set, knowledge, and performance. Beyond that, I am still working on new certifications, and I’m always learning something new from my peers in the business.
