I contacted Tony about our Tibetan Spaniel going crazy when she saw other dogs, especially from my truck. Tony got back to me right away & sent me the information I needed on training her how to behave!! I like the fact he used positive, reward based training techniques. Being a retired USAF veteran it was great to get the help I needed from another vet!! I highly recommend Tony for any assistance you might need to train your dog!!Jun 12, 2020VerifiedKnucklehead K9 Services, LLC's reply
Thank you very much Todd. I am happy to be of service and thank you for your service!!
Tony contacted me and made an appointment to come over and to evaluate my two dogs. He is very knowledgeable and gave us excellent ideas and options we can use to correct the problems we have been having. We will have Tony back again to start the training. I would refer him to other people who are having issues with their fur babies. Thank you Tony!!Apr 30, 2019VerifiedKnucklehead K9 Services, LLC's reply
Thank you so much Bonnie. Please keep me informed on how Kody is doing.
We rescued a dog 3 weeks ago. Tony was very insightful and knowledgeable about the behavior of my dog. We did not retain his service because with verification from him we knew the behavior of our dog was going to be a lengthy process and was not going to work with our family. But he spoke with me for 1 1/2 hrs about my dog and his behavior and he was wonderful to deal with. After the dust settles as he said we will begin our search for our family dog and I know who I will contact if I find I need a trainer. Thank you so much Tony for listening to my concerns and validating a very difficult decision.Mar 15, 2019VerifiedKnucklehead K9 Services, LLC's reply
Thank you Lori. I'm very glad I could be of assistance in helping you reach a final decision. I applaud you for reaching out to me and if you ever need help in the future, please don't hesitate to contact me.
I would definitely recommend using Knucklehead K9 Services. He is extremely helpful and gives multiple suggestions to help with your personal situation with your dog. He responds quickly and obviously cares about making sure his clients are successful as they implement training techniques on their own. You should hire Knucklehead K9. Thank you so much Natalie.
After just 1 session we have seen great improvement in how our dog reacts when we leave the house (she no longer scratches at the door or is destructive) and when we come home she no longer jumps on us. Tony provided some great information and easy to understand training tips that are working. Another plus is that Tony's services are very affordable!Feb 17, 2018VerifiedKnucklehead K9 Services, LLC's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? Please contact me directly via email or telephone for more in depth pricing as my pricing may vary depending on how far I must travel as well as the complexity of the issues your dog(s) have but the standard hourly rate is $125. All initial appointments/assessments are 1.5hrs and the cost is $125. I also offer a 6 session Puppy Program as well as a 6 session On Leash to Off Leash Ecollar Training Program. I also offer 2 to 4 week Board and Train Programs as well as a Behavioral Modification Program that varies in length depending on the behavioral issues that need modified. I do offer in house payment plans for all my programs so please ask me about this if budget is a concern. To respond to your request on Thumbtack costs me money so please serious inquiries only. Thank you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I gather as much information as possible from the client prior to the first appointment as every dog is different. There may be some similarities in behaviors but I don't assume a specific approach until I have a chance to do an assessment. The majority of times, I will start training immediately as I arrive at the clients home, then we will go further into a quick assessment. I will explain to the client what is going on with their dog, why the behaviors are happening or not happening, demonstrate how to stop or get the behaviors, and then allow the client to do the same with their dog. It's a very smooth process and so much can be accomplished in the 1.5 hrs that I am there. I will always give my clients instructions on what to work on in between appointments as well as provide either digital handouts or videos that they can use to further help them along. Everybody learns differently so I take that into consideration. We continue the process until we get improvements and the client is satisfied. Throughout the process and even after our last appointment,I make myself available to be contacted at any time they need assistance. A client to me is a client for a lifetime.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My initial education on training dogs was established at an 8 week training course at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas where during the course we were tested extensively on dog training knowledge, skills, and techniques. The testing never stopped as throughout my 20 years, we were required to do a specific amount of training every day and were not only evaluated but also inspected to ensure our records on this training were completed. Over the years, I became the evaluator and my knowledge continued to grow through self study, seminars, and mentor-ship by experts in the field. There isn't a day that goes by that I'm not networking with other trainers or have my face in a book, trying to learn something new that will help my clients.
