FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
ShelCo Flooring and Storing provides free estimates. If the customer decides to move forward, and we provide evaluation and documentary analysis for flooring or design work for cabinetry, we charge a consultation fee. Any consultation fees are applied directly to the final cost of the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
At ShelCo Flooring and Storing we value the customer’s time. The initial phase of our process is conducted over the phone using pictures submitted by the homeowner. During this initial call we can build a relationship with the customer, gather as much information as possible and provide a free estimate. If the decision is made to move forward, we schedule a consultation. We visit your home to form a clear idea of your vision. We make a proper site evaluation and begin to turn that vision into reality. For a flooring install the evaluation consists of a thorough inspection of the concrete to assess any cracks or other damage. We also conduct testing to determine the moisture vapor transmission rate and relative humidity of the concrete. These criteria determine the suitability of most concrete coatings. For cabinetry installation our consultation includes the design and layout of a custom storage and organization system to address your specific and particular needs. We will create detailed drawings of your space and provide 3D renderings for your approval. Our cabinetry can be adapated to suit any application.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
ShelCo Flooring and Storing is a member of the Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh, the National Association of Homebuilders and the Pennsylvania Builders Association. We have been factory trained and we use industry best practices to ensure a quick and professional installation.
