As the owner/operator @ Premium Painting by Perry, LLC, I love what i do for a living & take pride in every single task I or my fellow employees take on. I treat my clients the way i'd want someone to treat my family members, my wife, or myself if i was having work done. No client is more important then the next one. The most important one at all times is the one i'm working for at that present time. No matter how big or small the job is that client gets 100% of my attention & devotion. All i ask is to give us a chance and i guarantee you will never look for another painter again! My most favorite part of my job is seeing the transformation from start to end of a job. It is truly amazing what a great paint job can do for a room. From easy jobs to the hard ones the week might be an easy, relaxed, & calm week to a week where nothing seems to go right but in the end when i walk away from that job and the client is overwhelmed with happiness it makes all the ups & downs of the week worth it!

Shawn is a beast of a painter! He completed a job for us in 2 days that appeared easy but once it got into it was much more difficult. That did not deter Shawn from completing the job within his original time estimate. The space was clean after the 1st day of work and even cleaner once the job was complete. But the best part was the quality of his paint job, our room looks amazing! IHis work ethic is to be admired. I am definitely hiring Shawn again and plan to refer him to interior designers I work with!

Shawn was extremely detail oriented and did an excellent job painting our music room and dining room. He is full service and went the extra mile to purchase shades of paint to match the existing trim. He just took excellent care of everything. He also repaired drywall around my French doors and put in insulation - something another contractor from Thumbtack dropped the ball on. Shawn's pricing is very competitive and, as he will freely admit, he often works well beyond the hours contracted for -- at no additional expense to the consumer - because he is such a perfectionist. In short if i could give him more than 5 stars i would.

Shawn and I agreed on two tasks for April 5, 2016: power washing the deck and painting an accent wall in the living room area. His first visit was to assess the level of work to be done and provide an estimate. The estimate was provided via email in a very timely manner and covered in detail every aspect we had discussed. It was also competively and fairly priced. Shawn arrived on 4/5/2016 at the agreed time. Clearly VERY ORGANIZED, he started the prep work for the painting, which included taking all pictures off the wall, removing the area rug, and putting down his drop cloths. After the initial paint coats he went outside to set up for power washing the deck and railings which required moving patio table and chairs around as well as 20 garden pots (all on wheeled plant caddies) to clean the entire deck. His attention to detail was thorough and impressive because he didn't miss a spot, even included a soft hosing down of the French door windows and screen leading out to the deck. Even more impressive was that he rolled each potted plant back into place. Shawn then returned to complete the paint job that required a third coat which he did, despite the fact that the contract called for only two coats of paint. The paint job is beautiful and flawless. Shawn had agreed before starting the job that if the paint was not dry at the conclusion of the work, he would return the next day. He did and the wall pictures were rehung in the exact same place they were, a couple of paint spots were retouched, and the area rug and small furniture pieces were returned to their places. Shawn communicated well about what was involved, including how much time the tasks would take. He is a thorough professional, well organized, very neat in thep way he works, very conscious about leaving everything the way things were found, and has such an eye for detail that means he critiques his work as he goes along. He did an outstanding job and I asked if he minded if I highly recommend him to my neighbors and the HOA Board. I would use his services again! He clearly loves his work.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No i do not. With painting there is a lot that goes into pricing a job. It varies so much from what kind of paint is best suitable for the surfaces, what are the conditions of the surfaces to be painted, measurements, doors/frames/windows, etc. So in the end i insist on seeing all my jobs in person and if possible meet with the client to discuss all their options and explain in detail what they are getting when they hire Premium Painting by Perry, LLC. It is crucial that both parties are on the same page at the start of the job and all the way to the completion of the job. There shouldn't be hidden cost or unexpected cost when it comes to painting. My price that i give you on the estimate is the price you pay unless you decide to add on additional work throughout the process. No Excuses!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After a new client and I have agreed on a price for the work, i keep them posted on the agreed upon start date, answer any emails, questions, or anything that might come up when hiring a contractor to do work in their home or business. I DO NOT take a deposit from a client till the 1st day i step on the job site & start the job! That definitely makes new clients feel at ease and feel comfortable going into a new experience.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went through the 3 years Apprenticeship program for District Council 21 Painters & Allied Trades Union out of Philadelphia, Pa. Also i have taken my OSHA 10 & 30 courses, RRP Lead Certification , CPR, fall protection, scaffold erecting, & countless other courses/classes during my apprenticeship training & afterwards during my journeyman years.
