- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$75 per hour plus parts. If the problem cannot be fixed you are not charged. Calls are left open for a week to make sure there are no surprises.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First half hour is free. We figure out the issue and come up with a plan.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I enjoy things that go "bing". Played with machines back in high school in the 70's and found a good fit. Majored in Math because computer degrees were not yet offered in the 80s. Wrote tax software (still in use today) in the late 80s. Wrote voter databases in the early 90s. Was an IT Director throughout the 90s. Got tired of the corporate world in 2000 and hung out a shingle.
