- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do have a standard hourly rate that I typically use as a guideline. But every session is different, and every client is unique. So with that being said, I adjust as I feel necessary, but I stay as fair as possible so that all of my clients receive top of the line pricing and quality.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, I love to hear from potential new clients. Even if they are only asking questions. I try to answer them fully and as detailed as possible. I always offer my phone number so that you may call if you'd like. Once I get to know what you're looking for, I let you know of products/services that I have available to you. Once you decide exactly which ones you would like to take advantage of, we set up your date/time/location. I love to hear about ideas/questions you may have from that point up until your shoot. Once the shoot starts, I like to get to know my clients by having a conversation, and make you feel relaxed and comfortable. As I said earlier, this makes for great photographs! I do some posing, and some candid shots. Once the shoot is over, I am overly excited to come home and load them on my computer to see what we've accomplished!! I edit the photographs always in color, and then I add other special effects. I deliver all the proofs for you to view via email, and choose your favorites as agreed upon in scheduling (weddings I deliver unlimited images). Once you've decided, I load them on a cd, or other specified memory device as agreed upon in scheduling, and mail it to you! You are then free to print and copy as you wish!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started by taking pictures of my family. We have 4 children, and we homeschool. We spend a ton of time together! The camera is always out and with us on our outings and everyday life! I was going to go back to school. But my husband and I decided it would be best to use the gear and expertise I already have, and do something I love!! We also really enjoy showing our kids the importance of doing something you love, and also being able to support our large family. We love showing them you can do anything you want to do.
