Restoration 1 of Mt. Pocono picked up the phone on a holiday and came through 100% alleviating a bad water / mold situation that was the result of a hot water heater flooding the basement. The owner personally arrived the next day and was very willing to review and explain in detail the needed response and what would occur to restore the house. Recommendations and work were on point. The owner was personally very responsible with high integrity. Work was great quality, delivered in a timely fashion, price good, and follow up consistent. I highly recommend this company who will travel to you even if you are not in the immediate vicinity. You will have your peace of mind back with Restoration 1.

I hired this company for mold remediation at a rental property and was disappointed with the outcome.After work began, I was informed that the original estimate would only cover limited remediation and that completing the job as initially discussed would require roughly double the price.While the revised price was agreed to, the change was not clearly justified.The project restarted approximately two weeks later than agreed, with the delay communicated only by text.Given the final cost, the quality of the work did not reflect the value expected, and further remediation may be required.I recommend obtaining detailed, written confirmation of scope, pricing, and scheduling before hiring.

Thank you for your review. We understand concerns regarding cost and clarity, and we’d like to provide some additional context.
The work was performed several months after the initial assessment. When our team returned to the property, new and active water sources were discovered, including a leaking sewer pipe and a leaking water heater. These conditions significantly changed the scope of work and required additional services beyond mold remediation, including structural drying to address active moisture.
Due to the advanced deterioration of the property, including severely compromised flooring, safety hazards were present on site. Despite these conditions and the expanded scope, the final pricing reflected a reduced rate compared to what would typically be required for the level of labor, equipment, and risk involved.
All changes to scope and pricing were discussed prior to proceeding. We regret if any part of this process felt unclear and remain available to review the details directly.
