What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discuss their needs.
Draw up a contract.
If needed request a deposit.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend International Society of Caricature Association conventions where I attend seminars, workshops and network with caricature artists from all over the globe.
I have a degree form the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where I studied under the late, great John Johns.
I have had workshops and seminars with current great caricatures artists such a Mad Magazine great, Tom Richmond.
Traveled, work with and learned from the great Sam Klemke of "Sam Klemke's Time Machine"
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I drew all my life since I could hold a crayon.
I later attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and was lucky to have workshops by one of my idols,the late great John Johns
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have drawn at all types of events! Weddings, proms, trade shows, conventions, universities, corporations, anniversaries, holiday events, festivals, community functions, casinos, birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, showers, anniversaries.... My services are an asset at all special events...perfect for all ages
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I enjoyed the many special events I have drawn at.
I setup in an area where I can be seen. The guests can enjoy watching me drawn as well as have their own drawing as a keepsake.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
How experienced is the artist? Does the artist provide the supplies? Are they insured? Licensed?
M C has been drawing caricatures professionally since 1984....
