Introduction: Clients who would like to hear live string music will be pleased to work with someone who takes great care in creating the right music for an occasion. I play classical cello primarily and often perform Bach's Cello Suites, Ave Maria, and other famous melodies from the classical world. When a group is requested I work with exceptionally skilled violinists and guitar players in the area who have the same standards for playing and etiquette. I accept requests from nearly any genre which can translate to a string instrument and often play a bride's and or groom's favorite melody on cello. My teaching philosophy is rooted in positive reinforcement and the knowledge that any motivated student is capable of taking their playing to the next level. Music is the universal language, and opening the door for others to communicate more fluently and connect more deeply with music is immensely rewarding.

Jake did a fantastic job playing the cello at our wedding. My fiancé and I chose some songs and themes, and Jake identified a guitar player to accompany him. After exchanging a a few emails with Jake, we fleshed out how the wedding would go in terms of the music (starts, stops, and breaks). Jake showed up on time before the wedding and, after hearing them play, had clearly practiced with the guitar player beforehand. Jake is a professional who made the whole process easy; I would recommend him to anyone.

Jacob generously spent much time making sure that the music selections for my son’s rehearsal dinner were perfect. He is an extraordinary musician with much passion for his work and desire to create the perfect event. He also assembled a wonderful trio! We were so delighted!
