What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $100 an hour. My Closet consultations last 4 hours and my personal shopping trips are for a minimum of 2 hours.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first part of the process involves us having a chat to discuss what you're looking to achieve and how I can help you achieve these goals. Once we've decided on a plan of action we either book in Closet Consultation, a Personal Shopping Trip, or both. A closet consultation is conducted in the comfort of your own home. It last 4 hours and I tailor it to suit you and your needs. You will end the session with a better understanding of your shape and style, and how to develop this in the future. I will unlock hidden outfits in your closet, identify the gaps and provide you with a suggested shopping list, suggesting items that if purchased will create a hard working collection of clothes. The Personal Shopping process starts with a coffee and a chat, a couple of days before the shopping trip, to go over what your looking to achieve (to develop a new style or refine an existing style etc) and to pull together a detailed shopping list appropriate for your budget. The morning of the shop, I go round the stores I think are suitable, pull out the items I want to show you, and have them put on hold until you join me later to try them on. Throughout the session, well discuss why certain styles suit you better than others and how to mix and match the items to pull together a variety of looks. This gives us both an opportunity to refine your look as we progress through the day. At the end of the session, you will leave with a selection of items that fit perfectly, suit you and your lifestyle and mix and match to create a whole host of looks suitable for all occasions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been styling women for over 9 years. I have a degree in Textile Design and worked as a Personal Shopper for a highly regarded department store in the UK for three years where I gained a wealth of experience dressing women of all shapes and sizes. After I left this position, I trained with the Alicia Kite Image Consulting Academy in the UK to hone my skills. This wealth of experience equips me perfectly to discover, update and develop your personal style.
