Matt's Piano, Voice, and Music Theory Instruction

Introduction: Hello! Music is my passion and I would love to share that joy with you. I teach piano lessons, coach and accompany vocalists, and instruct and tutor music theory. I will travel to your home for instruction or host lessons in my home in Emsworth using my baby grand piano. Students aged 5 to 105 are welcome to contact me. I have worked in and studied the music profession for many years. I am currently earning a Master's Degree in Choral Conducting at Ohio University where I conduct, accompany, and sing in multiple choirs. I received my undergraduate music theory degree from Ohio University and postgraduate music education certification from Muskingum University. I have played piano on several Carnival Cruise Line ships and enjoyed numerous opportunities as a professional accompanist at colleges, for theater productions, and for community and church choirs. During my high school years, I attended the world renowned Interlochen Arts Academy and was accepted twice for the Governor's Institute for Gifted and Talented High School Students at Miami of Ohio University. I hold current teaching certificates in Music (K-12) in Pennsylvania and Ohio and have all relevant clearances.
