Introduction: I offer the following yoga classes: * Beginner's Class: This is a basic introduction to yoga. This class will prepare you for levels 1 and 2 and all level classes and will help you find your own home practice. Classes include a lecture on yoga philosophy and invigorating asana that will motivate and move you from the mat through the rest of your life. * Restorative Yoga: Softening into strength, this teaches the art of letting go for all levels. By letting go of contraction and tightness in the body and mind, we release into unlimiting and inherit healing potential. I will guide you through this gentle restorative yoga of long release that is intended to quiet the mind and relieve tightness in connective tissues throughout the body that open the self into radiant pureness of being, calm delight, and innate strength of spirit. * Rise and Shine Yoga: This is a morning class designed to bring a sunshiny start to your day. Start the day focused and centered for improved health and performance. * Mid-Day Meditation: Reduce stress and find a healthier you through a mid-day yoga session. This session gets your body moving and gives the mind a break. We will be targeting areas where the body stores stress and find relief in shoulders, lower back and hands' wrists. Class will provide improved health and better work performance with lower stress. * Evening Asana: This is yoga with a flow linking movement and breath. This will help you release tension, so you can go home feeling energized and centered. * Level II and III Vinyasa Flow: Get ready to deepen your practice. Breathe, sweat, and flow in this challenging class which enables you to open your heart fully to what the universe has in store for you, while remaining rooted in the earth. Capable, strong action comes prepared for a strong asana practice with relaxation and fun, upbeat music. * Yoga for Athletes: As a cyclist and runner myself, I know how hard it is to add anything to our already-busy schedules. I also am aware that athletes tend to have tight muscles that are more prone to overuse and acute injuries. By loosening those tight areas through yoga, you will both avoid injury and strengthen the whole body. Through regular yoga practice, your muscles and tendons are trained to stabilize your joints, therefore preventing injury. This yoga class will show you how to improve strength, balance and flexibility, prevent injury and incorporate breathing techniques to enhance endurance and mental focus. This is a great opportunity to observe your body's reaction to your sport training. If you pay close attention, you may be able to recognize and correct an injury before it occurs. There is no experience needed!
