Introduction: Hello! I have been a certified and professional teacher for over 15 years. I teach voice, piano, guitar, clarinet, music theory, composition and more. Many of my students have worked with me for many years and have gone on to become great friends of mine in their adulthoods.
My teaching philosophy is that if you don't love it, you won't learn it! For that reason, I combine an experiential approach that centers on the building blocks (in an age-appropriate way) while following the student's intrinsic interests.
I have worked with students who went on to pursue professional musical careers, parents who took lessons "back in the day" and wanted to do something for themselves, and students who have studied and performed for years simply for the joy of doing it, the confidence and presence gained through it, but went on to focus their attention in other areas.
Ages accepted, rates, and recommended lesson length are all variable, based on many factors. At this time, I am only accepting lessons at 4:00 p.m. or later. If you are inquiring about piano lessons, please note that you must have an instrument to practice on. Please inquire to learn more.

I have always enjoyed music lessons with Ms.Tarsio,and as a clarinet student I feel that she provides a balanced education from music theory to exploring different genres and styles of music.

You did a fantastic job taking over as lead clarinetist in the pit orchestra, and those "here come the camels!" solos were bold and saucy. You go, girl! Elisabeth was recommended by a friend, whose son took lessons from her.
My daughter has been taking clarinet lessons from Elisabeth for 3 years now.
We are very happy with her way of teaching. Her ability to motivate if needed is outstanding.
We go year round with music lessons. Elisabeth is always willing to work around our summer schedule. Overall a fun, but very thorough teacher.

My daughter has been taking piano and vocal lessons with Elisabeth for approximately five years. She spent a short time taking guitar lessons with her as well. She is basically the best music teacher I could want for my daughter. She has grown into a great mentor, role model and friend, and my daughter always has wonderful things to say about her. Scheduling lessons is easy and she is very flexible. I am so thankful that we found her when we did. I give her a lot of the credit for my daughter's success. We love her, and you will too.

Ms. Tarsio was my private teacher for years and I learned so much and grew as a clarinet player and musician. Her passion made lessons challenging and fun! Highly recommended!!!

Elisabeth has truly been both a blessing and an inspiration in my daugher's life. Her passion is singing, and now playing the guitar as well, and Elisabeth has helped her passion soar to even greater heights. Wednesdays are my daughter's favorite nights of the week and not just because of the singing, but also because of the friendship that she has established with Elisabeth. She cares about her students and that is quite evident in our case. Thank you for all that you do!!!
