I am a trained artist and museum conservator who has found his calling in Furnishings. Whether that is a repair, refinish, build, or restyle, I guarantee I can take care of it. My shop is eco-friendly, only using chemicals when absolutely necessary and my pricing is very competitive. We are also licensed as a Home Improvement Contractor and insured to protect both us and the customer!

Had an old farm table that needed to be refinished & had cracks. Though we lived 120 miles away from his shop on Prospect Park, PA, he agreed to meet halfway to pick up the table. I found Tommy Pierce to be a friendly and courteous man with a strong knowledge of woodwork, and who gave us various suggestions on what was needed. There was no rush in getting the table back, which was lucky as we got hit with Christmas-New Year holiday breaks and some health delays. Again he met us at a halfway point to return the table, which looked fantastic. He had sanded the top, repaired some cracks, and given it a couple of coats of polyurethane (he checked with us first), as well as putting felt pads on the legs, and gifting us a small jar of wax for the table. The only quibble I had was that there was a couple of times when he wasn’t too responsive but later found out he had been in hospital twice! Life keeps on going, right? Luckily we didn’t desperately need the table back so the delay did not affect us. I would certainly consider him again for a job.

We had a great experience working with Pierce Wilson Design. We had reached a point with a restored piece of bowling alley lane that required the touch of a professional and we were not disappointed. The team was easy to communicate with and the work was fairly priced. We would definitely work with them again.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I always strive to balance pricing and quality. Also, I do offer discounts for multiple services such as custom furniture and interior design or furniture repair and complete refinishing.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process starts with a conversation, either by phone/text, video, or in person. I want to know what you like, your budget, and how I can make you happy. From there, I do everything I can to make the experience pleasant and quick. In the end, I would rather have a list of happy customers than a day bank account.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a triple concentration Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Museum Leadership masters from Drexel, and an interior design certificate from the British College of Interior Design.
