- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Event costs vary depending on the type of event, length of event and distance. A five-band concert normally spans 8-10 hours of work including set-up, sound check and tear-down. An event like this, located with 30 miles normally runs $400-600. We always discuss the details of the event and calculate the cost based on event specifics.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We continuously participate in seminars, read whitepapers, participate in industry groups and monitor the equipment manufacturers releases.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I saw a need for high-quality sound and lighting for the events that normally suffer from DJ-quality sound and lighting skills. Events suffered from lack of planning and poor execution. I knew what was needed to improve this and built a capable team to manage and produce live events.
