FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The average cost for massage is usually based on the time length of the session, for example: 60 minute = $ 60 90 minute = $ 90 2 hour = $120 Now that price is usually when the business has a central office to work out of. Because I will be traveling to clients homes, there will also be a travel fee tacked on to the price. Example: 0-5 miles from 18076 = $5 5-10 miles from 18076 = $15 10-15 miles from 18076 = $25 Anything farther that 15 miles from 18076 will have to be agreed upon between client and therapist. These fees are for per visits. The reason for separating the travel fee from the hourly rates, saves you the client if you schedule multiple massages for different family members or friends at your home during 1 visit. So if you have 1 massage scheduled for just you, or 5 massages scheduled for you and your friends/family, you will be charged the appropriate fee for distance only 1 time plus the fees for massage services provided.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I love taking continuing education classes! The state license requires 24 ceu credits every other year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was helping a coworker study for his anatomy classes that he was taking in massage school, and fell in love with the human body. It is so fascinating to me how everything is so perfectly connected.
