HI, I am a non-smoking Veteran. The cost is for an entire 24 hours not just overnight. I do in-home care. I don't do drop-ins. I stay the entire time. I am there if your pet wants to cuddle at 2 AM or 2 PM or not at all! They become part of my family. I do so much more than just dogs and cats. I have cared for horses, a donkey, mini horse, goats, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, a few birds, chinchilla, and even a pot-bellied pig in the home. I take care of the mail, garbage and if needed water plants. When I hear what some others charge for their overnight rate, I can not understand how they can ask for those rates! And they are only there overnight for that cost they charge again for each visit! My quote is for 24 hours. But my rates do vary depending on the number of animals. If they need walked or poop scooped. Medicine given, etc. My rates are normally $45-$65 for each 24 hour period. quotes. Had Bertie over for the very first time this weekend. She arrived at the house as planned and interacted with the dogs as if they were her own. I felt very comfortable leaving my pups and cats in her care. During my away time from home she kept me up to date with how things were going back home. I highly recommend her to anybody who's looking for a petsitter that u would like to have staying at ur home. Very professional, caring and very reliable.

I contacted Bertie and scheduled a time for us to meet as well as for her to meet Nico, my doggie. She was prompt, friendly and showed a great love for 'her animals'. We all clicked and I hired her for a stay next year. I will update this review after her stay is complete and I have no doubt it will continue to be outstanding.

Having Bertie sit with my animals for the first time, I was nervous. I have a horse, two goats, two barn cats, and two greyhounds. My nerves were relieved when she texted me the first morning away and said BOTH dogs slept in bed with her! She stayed with them day and night all week!!! Now I was nervous they wouldn't be happy for me to come home! 😃 She even washed the sheets and towels on her last day. And cleaned up the muddy paw prints, and left the place looking and smelling great. I have already asked her to come and pet sit again.

Bertie was fantastic with our two dogs while we were away. She is prompt when communicating with us, kept us updated each day on how they were doing & really enjoyed spending time with our pups. Bertie was a pleasure to work with. We came home to happy dogs and cats. It was like we never left. She did exactly what was instructed to do. She is the 1st pet sitter to NOT overwater my plants!!! The house was clean and the dogs sleeping when we arrived home. I felt very good leaving the pets with her. I will recommend her to house sit/pet sit to my friends. She also has a good sense of humor. Liked talking to her. She let me know what was happening every day. Good communication. Arrived on time. Nice lady.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't know that it is complicated, but I figure the price on the number of animals, the amount of care, if they need meds, if they need walked or have a fenced area, if I have to do waste clean up. Things like that determine my rate. My clients feel I have very reasonable rates. When you take into consideration I am there the entire time and your other option is x amount per visit or a kennel.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always do a meet and greet with the client and the animals. I spend time interacting with the pets. I also take notes on what their routine is and any other important information. Usually this meeting takes anywhere from 1/2 hour to an hour.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
To be honest nothing but a love of animals and lots of hands on experience.
