- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a single mother at the time and was looking to make extra money. I always loved to clean and thought of trying to do this. I realized how much of a need there was for legitimate cleaning services there was and went through all the proper channels to do so. I am now certified by the State of Pennsylvania as a Woman Owned Business Enterprise. I have received several awards- I was one of the top 25 woman in businesss for March 2007in Northeast Business Journal and 2011 Woman Entrepreneur from the University of Scranton Small Business Development Center.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Residential-General housecleaning/ Deep clean housekeeping / grocery shopping/ light errands/ landlord & tenant cleaning. Commercial-Janitorial maintenance packages, Customized floor care packages/ Construction clean ups.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Please do a check on a provider. Make sure they are insured and bonded. Ask for references. Will they be using their cleaning supplies or yours. Do they guarantee their work?
