FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I price services based off of how long it's going to take me. For example, If I am doing a simple website (on Wordpress) that has 5 pages, a slideshow, a contact form, and up to 10 custom images then I would estimate that it would take me 40 hours to do and give myself about 2 weeks to do it. I would take the hours, 40, and multiply that by my hourly rate which is $55/hour for a total of $2,200.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
It was a fluke class that I got put into in high school called Computer Apps II. I didn't even take Computer Apps I. Turns out that that class was all about HTML and learning Photoshop. I fell in love with it instantly and from that moment on I spent hours upon hours per day teaching myself the ways of the web.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look at their past work, reviews, and more importantly, look at their online portfolio. The online portfolio should be nicely and strategically built. They have a personal investment in this website and how they have it laid out should tell you a lot about them and the company.
