Wow! Gateway FloorCoatings took my 10 yr old garage floor which had a decaying epoxy surface applied by another Pittsburgh company, and made it look brand new! The finish looks perfect, and we're very happy with both the install and the color choice that JT recommend. This flooring should last many years based on the quality of the work and material they use, and they warrantee it as well. Appreciate the professional approach and nice to know that there are still companies like Gateway that are responsive & timely and do great work and stand behind their product. Appreciate yinz!!

Amazing experience from start to finish. JT was extremely knowledgeable and took the time during our appointment to explain the entire process in detail and answer all of my questions. He walked us through every step of the installation, explained what to expect, and helped us choose the perfect color for our patio.
The installation itself was smooth, professional, and completely painless. The crew did a great job, kept everything clean, and the finished product exceeded our expectations. What was once an ugly, worn-out concrete patio has been completely transformed into a beautiful space that we’re actually excited to use.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Every estimate is based on a written scope — not just a price. We walk your slab first and quote around square footage, prep needs (grinding, crack repair, moisture testing), and the coating system you choose. There are no surprise add-ons: layers, finish, timing, and exclusions are spelled out before we start. ****************************************************
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It starts with a free project review — either a quick call or an on-site look at the slab. We check for cracks, moisture risk, and how you actually use the space, then walk you through system options. Once you approve the scope, most garages are a one- to two-day install: grinding and repairs on day one, then the coating build. You're usually walking on it within 24 hours and parking on it in about three days.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We're a dedicated flooring contractor based in Pittsburgh, with hands-on training in surface preparation, epoxy and polyaspartic coating systems, and concrete diagnostics (moisture and crack assessment). We run every job ourselves — no subcontracting — so the same trained crew handles prep through topcoat on every project.
