FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Different length jobs have different hourly rates. The smaller the job, the higher the hourly rate generally is. There is set up and breakdown time as well as planning and (if necessary) a trip to get materials. A 2 hour job may take 4-5 hours with all of the additional steps needed to complete the work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I like to discuss customers needs and view pictures via text or video chat. If the project is straightforward I will bid a proposal for clients review. Once approved I will schedule the appointment and complete the job. If necessary, I will set an in-person consultation followed by the proposal/ job completion once approved.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked as a commercial carpenter for 6+ years. The final 2 years I was a working project manager for a large hospital bedroom/bathroom remodel. I have completely renovated 2 homes and have done many small projects for clients over the years.
