The Always Faithful Dog Training method is designed to teach you the language of your dog. We call it Leadership Dog Training. Dogs are pack animals. As part of your pack, you want your dog to follow you.
Common dog behaviors like leash pulling, jumping, barking, digging, and generally not listening are signs that your dog wants to lead you. Our private in-home lessons will immediately correct these behaviors and teach you how to become the pack leader.

Joel and his assistant, Sabrina, did I fantastic job helping us with our two problem fur-kids. We had just adopted a new rescue dog from Texas and she was out of control Also, our previous dog had issues with aggression towards other dogs and men. The Always Faithful professionals were extremely patient with me and my husband as we learned techniques to correct their issues.
Practicing the skills they taught us consistently is important; no dog trainer can produce a better-behaved pet without commitment and effort on the owners' part.
We are enjoying our pets infinitely more since the training and have much less stress in our lives. While there are still occasional problems, we now have the tools to manage them. Joel is very knowledgeable about (and loving towards) dogs and their many potential issues, having been a K9 trainer in the Marines. Thank you, Joel, and Always Faithful Dog Training!

Joel has been at our home twice now to help with our rescue (Tucker). Joel is very professional, explains things to us, more than once, if necessary. He is incredibly knowledgeable. He is soft spoken yet confident in his lesions. I could not be more pleased.

We are so grateful to Joel, Sabrina, and Adam!They are amazing trainers. I called Joel because we were very concerned about our French bulldog's behavior. She started being very reactive and started trying to bite people after having a bad experience with a child.Joel knew at the first meeting what was going on with Petunia, he explained to us quite clearly how she felt when she was acting reactive and protective, and from the first meeting he gave us instructions to begin the process.We learned the commands and how to manage her emotions when she became reactive or protective at home, in public places, and with people.We practiced a lot with him and his team. They took the time to take Petunia into the situations that made her reactive and then we worked to change that behavior.We couldn't find a better trainer than him.We highly recommend "Always Faithful Dog Training."

We were referred to Always Faithful Dog Training of Pittsburgh by a friend to help with some issues with our two young dogs.From the first contact, Joel was very professional and knowledgeable. He evaluated our dogs' temperaments and helped us work out some training issues, providing valuable insights and advice.-One of our dogs was very reactive to people entering our home, and we are now able to direct her to be more polite.-We can feed both dogs together with confidence.-We can be confident that our dogs are engaging in appropriate play.-We have more peaceful walks without pulling.Joel thoughtfully answered all of our questions, and helped us to be more confident pack leaders.
