The movers are efficient and hard working. I had a furniture set that was hand crafted from walnut, very solid and expensive. They ended up busting a 650.00 chair from the set, that is not repairable in the sense to be trusted to use due to where the break was. I was told we will deduct 50.00. Take the chair to the manufacture and get an estimate then contact the company. Make sure you keep your invoice. Well the 50.00 I was told was the settlement and I signed off. Actually your employee extended the written agreement to a verbal and I have a witness. I could pursue legal action but companies like this will reap their own actions. So BEWARE!! VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Buyer beware when dealing with New Horizon Movers. Even though someone came out to the house to physically list and view the items to be moved, we were told later that the quoted price did not include wrapping furniture or protecting glass shelves. Two armoires were damaged, 1 bureau, a china floor lamp was broken in two, and a brandnew hardwood floor was gouged so deep, several boards were damaged beyond repair. Also, a bedframe foot was missing and could not be found. A custom table with mosaic tiles was ruined because the tiles came off in the truck and could not be found. New Horizon refused to compensate us for any of the damages and said that wrapping the glass shelves and padding some our items equaled the cost of the damage done to our furniture. We were told AFTER everything was moved that New Horizon did not agree to wrap anything and since they did wrap a few items such as the glass shelves in my china closet and the glass in the dining room table, New Horizon said that they would not charge us for wrapping up the glass to compensate for all of the damages done to our belongings! I told the estimator several times about the glass in the dining room set and he nodded. When he handed me the estimate, I assumed that this included wrapping the glass in our dining room set. We were giving a great deal of verbal abuse by the New Horizon office staff when we said that no compensation for damages would be given to us after we stated that we were not aware that the wrapping would be an additional charge. After about a hour of screaming over the phone, New Horizon said that they would send someone over to repair the gouge in the hardwood floor but no one ever came or even attempted to contact us.Besides all the damage New Horizon Movers changed their acceptable method of payment. We were told that we could pay of the move with a credit card and then we could pay for the other half with cash. Since our move was 2 days, we paid for day one with cash. At the end of the 2nd day, the bill was presented and we were told that a credit card would not be accepted for the balance due. New Horizon threatened to call the police if they did not get cash from us immediately for the balance! We did not have the cash and so the moving company followed us to the bank and waited until the cash was withdrawn from our checking account.Also, when the movers were getting ready to leave, we noticed that there was packing materials and cardboard left on the ground. We insisted that New Horizon take the trash with them. So they took the trash and cardboard and threw it in the dumpster at OUR bank!I wouldnt recommend this moving company to my worst enemy.

We have all signed documentation of both estimate and bill of landing that everything was delivered to your satisfaction and was priced out exactly as estimated. We pride our company on customer service and do not allow any of our employees to scream or yell at customers. Also, we reviewed your file and we have that you did not purchase any additional replacement insurance. Therefore you are automatically given the basic valuation coverage of 60 cents per pound per article. All of our payment methods are listed in our estimate and we are sorry for any confusion. Mover reviews are typically bad so the fact that there reviews were average to above average I decided to use them. This was my third time to use movers in the last 15 years and by far the absolute worst. They just dont care about your stuff. They should not advertise that they can pack homes because they clear have no experience. They literally just threw things in boxes! They stacked all our China on top of each and just put one piece of paper over the entire set. Im shocked we did not have more things break but we did have several broken items. Also a lot of things were just crushed because of the way they stacked things in boxes. We are also missing some items. Most importantly we never found the shelves for our office furniture.We have a fairly big home so we spent a ton of money with this company. I recommend staying away from this company if you want to protect your belonging!!

Those employees have since been dismissed and they no longer work for New Horizon Movers.

After some major issues with our settlement day, New Horizon was able to move my family and I into our new home with less that 24 hours notice. Our previous moving company dropped the ball and would not store our belongings for us during our delay in settlement. We had to place our things in storage for 2 nights. When we finally got the clearance that settlement would proceed, our previous movers told us they did not know when they would be able to get our belongings to the new house. With 4 children, one being a 10 month old, that was not feasible. I called New Horizon at 5pm that night and had a move in scheduled for 12 the next day. They completely saved the day. The movers were extremely friendly, fast and even tolerated my three boys watching their every move.I cannot day enough great things about New Horizon. They are amazing! Thank you!
