We hired Southampton Hot Tub to service a spa that came with our newly purchased home. The technician came out and began the process, but a leak was discovered almost immediately and the full service was never completed. The technician told us on site he would not charge the full amount given that the job couldn't be completed, but we were charged the full $399 regardless. When I followed up in writing to ask for a breakdown of what we paid for, the response felt defensive rather than transparent, and included references to GPS vehicle tracking to justify time on site. I didn't feel like a valued customer asking a reasonable question. The diagnostic information itself was useful — cracked plumbing, 15-25 year old spa, not worth repairing — but the overall experience left a lot to be desired in terms of communication and customer service.

We mentioned ahead of time the charge of the service and also mentioned no repairs or parts were included in the price. We never offered any discounts off the $399 for not filling the spa completely if it was not possible to fully fill. The technician waived the additional diagnostic fee of $199 and we apologize for any confusion. This typical service would cost $598 normally but given the circumstances the technician waived the additional costs. The $199 repair credit is good for
