My work stands out because,frankly, in about 2 -3 lessons on average I get lasting results. Even in the first 10 minutes you will see a difference! I am a very calm and gentle trainer and I do my best to pass this on to my clients.. It is about training and dogs and their owners.
I LOVE my job! I love it because many times I come into a situation where people are fed up with their dog. As I am there, they realize that it wasn't the dog!! It was how they were treating the dog that made him that way! And by the end of the lesson they have respect for the dog that they had no hope for!

Elaine is very kknowledgeable about dogs behaviours and how interact with them to get the desired result. Our first sessions was split between physically training our dog and explaining to us why we and our puppy and doing what we are doing we learned a lot in only one session and are seeing very positive results already.

I cannot say enough great things about Elaine. Our basset hound was already 4 yrs old when he rescued him. Thats a lot of years of bad habits. Within our hour and 1/2 session with Elaine he showed tremendous progress with some of our biggest issues. His fear of our stairs is completely gone, he walks by my right side (still working to perfect but way better than pulling so hard), was afraid of his crate and now by his own decision, goes into the crate to nap. Elaine did a great job in evaluating our dog and ourselves. We now have a good understanding of our dogs needs and learning methods. At the same time we also now understand how to properly act and communicate our desires to our dog. We immediately were able to have pleasant walks (no tugging) and we are starting to see success in eliminating other undesirable behavior. Elaine definitely provided us with valuable tools in establishing a well balanced relationship for both us and our dog.

Elaine was great! She was prompt at responding to my request and we had a session with her within a week of contact. She was professional and helpful. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In part it is based on distance and the type of training required.I have a base price of $225; but if the dog is aggressive or I have to drive a longer distance I do charge more. For an aggressive dog I charge $150.00 more for the first lesson. If You are over an hour from me I charge another $75.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask them to make a list of all their concerns and then based on what I see when I walk in the door and the list they give me I will sit down and tell them what is going on .. I see everything within seconds of walking in! I tell them what their dog needs to be balanced and then we begin training! I am there about 1 1/2 or more and I will give them homework based on what we did in the lessons...
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I often trained with well known trainers... I still try to do that and stay open... but alas, trainers are now coming to me for training!
