Introduction: We specialize as structural engineering consultant. The products we engineer are single family homes, custom homes, town homes, condominiums and related structures. We are insured and licensed professional engineers specializing in residential structural engineering that services builders, contractors and architects for the past 21 years. Our residential structural engineering has saved our clients' time, labor and cost. Our services includes, but not limited to the following: 1. Foundations We make slab on grade foundations, crawl space and most basement types (full, raised, English, daylight, walkout, walk-up, dropped garage and garage under), structural garage slabs (one way and two ways), and cantilevered retaining walls. 2. Floors, roofs, and walls We do the following; - Layout the most economical and workable structural systems for prefabricated and/or conventionally-framed structures (stick framing). Such structural engineering includes vertical and lateral analysis and design (lateral design includes wind and seismic structural design and calculations). - Design and implement permanent bracing for residential prefabricated roof trusses - Main frame design that includes conventional or pre-engineered headers, beams, columns, studs, decks, etc. 3. Drafting We offer drafting of all generated structural construction documents as listed above. 4. Shop drawings review We provide roof, floor and foundation shop drawings structural review/approval process. Such shops include wood roof shops, wood open web floor shops, TJI/I wood joists, steel rebar shops, steel beams and columns shops. 5. Site visits, letters and repair sketches We do observation of variety of projects on site and follow up with reports and repair sketches as well as certification letters/plans. 6. Building departments We correspond/meet with building officials and provide clarifications, calculations and/or certified letters to address any structural questions they may have. 7. Codes We are familiar with most major building codes such as IRC, IBC, ASCE, AFPA, TPI, ACI and AISC. 8. Accessibility We do the following: - We always return our clients' phone calls, e-mails and/or faxes within the hour or maximum the day. - We strongly believe that quality structures require quality structural engineering, regardless of their size, shape or form.
