I have worked in both domestic and commercial areas of the sewing industry. My many years of experience has given me the motivation for creativity and the eye for detail.
My areas of experience include tailoring, teaching, upholstery, embroidery, sewing machine repair, pattern drafting, sample making and production.
I enjoy helping others learn the skill of sewing as I did as a child and continued to do so. It is both my career and hobby. I enjoy coming up with new ways to teach to assist others in achieving their goals. I focus all of my expertise toward assisting my clients on developing their products... and of course I enjoy helping others look great in what they wear.

My experience with Mr. Williams was great from start to finish. I contacted several people on Thumbtack to have a bridesmaid dress altered for a wedding just a few weeks before I needed the dress (because I am a procrastinator).
Gerald responded right away and called me to make sure he understood exactly what I was looking for. He was super professional and offered a very reasonable price.
The dress was done in a week and was exactly what I had asked for. Sometimes you don't know how contractors or services like this will work out but I am so happy with my dress and would definitely call Gerald next time I need anything tailored!!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I currently have several sewing course in place and ready to teach. All course are affordably price for 1 to 12 hours of class time. I like to give pricing based on exactly what my clients need because not all jobs can be put under one price. This applies, whether I'm teaching or doing any of the other services I provide.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When meeting and working with new clients, it is my goal to assist with their needs. So the first thing I must do, is listen to the clients request and then give my professional opinion utilizing all of my expertise. sometimes this may mean sending the client to a better source.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over the last thirty plus years, I have worked in many areas of the sewing industry. I have sewing machine technical training, production and manufacturing training along with embroidery, upholstery and tailoring. My life's passion has afforded me the ability to learn many skills both in official format and first-hand.
