FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I gather all the pertinent information from the client that will guarantee a successful photo shoot, i.e. type of event or outing, location, date and time, indoors or outdoors, any restrictions regarding photography or flash, and any special requests or concerns. I ask the client whether they want prints, a CD, etc, and their preferred final sizes of the images. I do my own photo editing. Then we talk about the cost. Finally I ask whether they would like a reminder call or message 1-2 days before the shoot, and to contact me if their plans change.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am largely self taught. In the 1980s I started to photograph, and learned by trial and error. I read books and articles. Since then I have photographed on a regular basis-Scenics, Wildlife, Sports, and for family functions. I have also shot for two newspapers as a freelancer for a total of 6 years.
