Nikki has been our dog trainer, breeder and friend for over 3 years. She first trained our rescue Shepherd/Husky mix Dublin as a 1 year old "neurotic" puppy. We quickly gained obedience with her one on one training sessions and continued working on advanced obedience in her group training sessions. Dublin has become our "angel without wings" enjoying life and still participates in the group hikes Nikki offers at our local State park. In 2012 we were blessed to be a part of Nikki's C litter breeding with her female Ovana. We chose a beautiful Bi-color female and named her Nessie. From day 1 Nikki was a part of our routine with Nessie. She offers free puppy training with her breedings and takes concern in all her pups upbringings. She guided us in aspects such as crate training, obedience, socialization and continues to this day as a part of Nessie's life in the Schutzhund arena. Nessie is now 2 years old and has earned her BH Schutzhund title and continues to work towards her IPO titles all with the coaching and guidance of her "other Mother" Nikki. She is a no nonsense trainer and does not except excuses and our dogs are a true testament to the life dogs can have, and deserve, when properly trained and cared for. Our family has been blessed to have had the opportunity to meet and have Nikki as a trainer, breeder, and true friend.

I highly recommend Nikki Banfield for dog training; however, I think of her more as a "people trainer". She trains you to train your dog. Be prepared for constructive criticism. She is firm because she is so passionate about dogs. She does individual training first, then group training. She gives you all of the tools you need to have a well-trained dog. If you take the time, and use the tools, you will have that well-trained dog. She also does "group walks" on Saturday mornings. These give your dog the opportunity to learn how to interact properly with other dogs. You are always welcomed on the walks even after you are done with your training, and she continues to make herself available with any problems that may arise down the road. We trained our first Labrador retriever with her 18 years ago and currently use her for the lab we have now. We will continue to recommend her to all of our friends and anyone else who asks us who we used for dog training.
