FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For the most part of my business I use a flat rate, meaning a set price, doesn't matter how long I am on the job or working on the computer it won't cost you any more. Example: installing RAM $50. On occasion I will request to be paid hourly depending on the scope of the job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in the IT field for 20+ years. Started out working on friends and family computers, went to school at New Horizon Computer Learning Center and obtained my A+ which is for computer hardware and software and also obtained my Network+ which is for networking, switches, hubs, routers and modems. Configuring and troubleshooting network issues.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father got me into computers when I was young and told me this is the future. I started out doing a little programming on a Texas Instrument that you hooked up to a TV. Then once towers came out and started becoming more popular, I started doing upgrades on my own computers.
