Hired for job (next day) which was confirmed, but the day of I could not reach them to confirm they would still be available and was unable to get a response until 2 hours before pickup, which had us scrambling. I have two stars for initial response and working to fit me in, but I do think a proactive call the day of saying it wasn’t going to work was in order vs me chasing them down.

The bigger problem here is that the Thumbtack interface is lacking . Users should be allowed to change the hired/status of the project. They already had it marked “Hired”, even though no money or agreement had changed hands. Then they marked the project “Complete” not allowing me to repost it. I had to quickly recreate the project to find available resources in the 2 hours that I had. The app needs work and I will be unlikely to use it again until I can manage my own projects and vendor statuses. As it stands, vendors can just take jobs so they can increase their “Hired” rate.
