Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Call and speak with an inspector. Its the best way to get all the questions you may have about the process and service before you hire an inspector.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. What is actually inspected is the most important. Second what other inspections should I get and what do the involve.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Are you insured? Are you certified? What kind of experience do you have? Do you have any references?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Part of the Home inspection is learning more about the home you are purchasing and not just simply having someone give you the thumbs up. I think for an inspection to be truly beneficial to the client they need to better understand exactly what the inspector is looking for and to understand the basics of each component of the inspection. Any client purchasing a home should have an inspection done. So, with that being said the client should put enough thought into the scheduling so that they can be present for the inspection and have enough time to ask the inspector questions. Also, they should write down any questions or concerns that they may have with the home and any areas of the home that they are not familiar with so that the inspector can go over these areas in more detail.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Personal approach. Our company motto is " We inspect every home as if our own family were moving in." We take this statement very serious. We understand the stress involved with purchasing a home. For most people this is the largest financial transaction they will ever make. We want to help relieve some of that stress by letting the client know if there are any major defects that may impact them financially. We want to make sure your home is safe. We also want to make sure the home doesnt have a lot of "deferred maintenance" which may lead to future problems. We do all this with a high level of proffessionalism and genuine concern for the clients best interest. We also try to maintain long and informative relationships with our clients.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love knowing that I can take over twenty years of experience and apply it to an industry whose sole purpose is to protect and educate people. I feel great knowing that when my clients purchase their home they are armed with all the necessary knowledge to make a safe and educated decision.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I have been working in the construction industry for over twenty years.I have also worked as a licensed Realtor. Taking the two and combining them has turned into the "dream" job for me.
