Introduction: Yoga therapy is a fairly new service. I offer a blend of traditional psychotherapy and yoga therapy with both a licensed therapist (LCSW) and registered yoga teacher (RYT200) and therapist. Along with a masters from UPenn and 6 years of clinical experience, the study of yoga therapy and reiki have taught me how to utilize the skills and philosophies of yoga to treat all aspects of the mind and body. I have had additional training in the areas of CBT, mindfulness, meditation, yoga for anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and stress relief. This helps me to be well equipped to address a large variety of emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical concerns.
Along with private individual and couples psychotherapy and yoga therapy, I also offer a sliding scale fee group in West Chester. There is a donation based trauma sensitive yoga class at 10am on Wednesdays at Temenos Retreat Center that is appropriate for those with a history of trauma, PTSD, or addiction. Afterwards there is a 1 hour yoga therapy support group. This is great for those who need help but cannot afford private sessions and fees are based on household income.

My favorite part is opportunity to learn and help others! There's always more research out there on what can help manage stress, negative emotions, trauma, pain, etc. I love to stay on top of this research so we can provide the best evidence-based care. I am consistently training and learning so I can better help my clients. Plus I love to learn, (especially about the brain!) so it's great for me as well! But the part I really love is when a client tells me how empowered they feel from what they have learned about themselves, their patterns, and the best coping skills for them and then they are able to take the skills we learned together and take care of themselves!
