We reported this company to the BBB, as did other people with similar experiences. The BBB investigated her in December of 2019, and she never answered their questions. We have had multiple negative interactions with this property manager, even before we moved in two years ago. She has lied to, threatened and harassed us multiple times. She blames her employees, who then quit or are fired, and then she just blames her terrible business practices on the new employees until they quit or are fired. She has failed to complete any repairs in a reasonable amount of time, in accordance with our lease agreement. Multiple repairs are still incomplete. Several other repairs, excluding a one-time small electrical repair, were not completed until she sent contractors more than once to fix the issue. At other times, we have called a contractor ourselves, because she failed to send a competent repair person in a reasonable amount of time. In addition, we have been harassed by debt collectors via phone, mail and in person who were looking to collect owed money from the previous tenants, to whom she chose to rent even though a basic background check would have disqualified them from renting this home.We had to rent sight unseen because we are an active duty military family moving from another state. Had we visited the home prior to move in, we would have lived elsewhere. This home is in an excellent school district and a lovely neighborhood, and she charges $3,000 a month for it, but it was in terrible condition when we arrived. We moved in on 1 July 2018, just after midnight, because the previous tenants were in the home until then, even though she told us multiple times we would be able to move in June 29, 2018. She took $500 off our August 2018 rent to compensate us for the intensive cleaning we had to undertake to make this home and yard habitable. Though we asked for a $1000 rent credit, she decided that $500 was a reasonable amount to cover the required deep cleaning (to include renting a carpet cleaner and performing carpet cleaning, removing small and large trash items, picking up animal feces, teeth, body jewelry, dozens of used condoms and cigarette paraphernalia) and to bring the home and property up to the standards listed in our lease, as well as the HOA standards for this community. We have pictures and video that we took in the middle of the night when we moved in because the former tenants stayed hours and days past the time she said we would be able to move in to this home. Attached is a picture of some of the garbage we had to remove from this home before we cleaned, disinfected and tried to remove as much cigarette smoke smell as possible from the home so our movers could deliver our household goods.
