The owner Marla is very creative and hardworking. She thinks of everything down to the last detail to make party perfect. She gets back immediately on texts and questions. She has great taste so she can pick out things but also allows you to do as much picking and ideas as you want. She does not pressure either, very laid back. The party remains as much yours as you want. She did both my sons Bar-Mitzvah and a few years later my husband 50th Birthday party. (with celebrity guests Star Trek & enterprise cake) , She was able to coordinate Glatt-kosher meals for select guests and perfect timing for the entire night. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Our full-service event planning fee starts at $2500. Full-service means we are there for our clients from the very beginning (venue selection) to the very end (day of event managing) and everything in between (entertainment, catering, decor, photography, favors, etc). Our minimum decor/design fee starts at $2500. Pricing varies depending on event.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Full-Service Event Planning Process: First, we discuss the event on the phone to learn about what the client's overall vision is. Second, we meet with the client at venue (if venue is already selected). If venue is not selected, we start referring venues to our client based on our initial discussion (how many guests, occasion, the look and feel that the client wants from the venue, budget), we meet with client at suggested venues. Once the venue is booked, we start planning the rest of the event based on our discussions with the client -- decorations, florists, catering, entertainment, cakes, dessert tables, favors, day of event staffing, photo booths, photographers, live music, DJ - a lot of back and forth goes on during this period. Once the party date has arrived we are there to manage the entire event, making sure that everything goes according to plan. We are the liaison between the client and all the vendors so the client can relax, enjoy their event and be confident that all the details are taken care of. We also offer partial event planning services -- sometimes we just book entertainment for our clients; sometimes we are hired for day of event coordination, other times we do decor/design - whatever services our client needs, we are here to make it happen.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?We have planned over 3000 events these past 27 years. Marla Mase, the founder also produces theatre and live music concerts. She is also a writer/performer and is a partner at True Groove Productions, NYC's fastest rising record label and Theatrical Production Company.
