- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our hourly fee ranges because some of the services we offer in conjunction with the sale of a property do not require the same level of expertise as other services we offer. For example production of our beautiful full color brochures are on the lower end, and negotiating to help our clients or customers achieve potentially thousands more for their home is on the higher end. "MyTeam and i" have several different plans available that range from $499. to 6% of the selling price of your home ($499. is a Basic Open Listing agreement that includes MLS only and requires you pay a Buyer Brokerage Commission at closing-we recommend between 2.5-3% of your home's selling price, our $499. fee is paid upfront) - and - Our 6% Plan which includes all of our services and paying a Buyer Broker (All fees are paid at closing) In order to provide a specific quote we will need to discuss/determine which plan would be best for you. This requires we discuss with you your ability and/or willingness to address certain aspects of the home selling process yourself. Our most recent client for example, who used our unbundled service, saved over $2,000. by scheduling all of the showings, and being a bit selective about which home marketing services she wanted us to employ.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Connecticut requires 12 hours of Continuing Education every two years and Rhode Island requires 24 hours of Continuing Education every two years. It is also required that we take classes for our local Real estate boards and MLS service and a tremendous amount of education is provided through our brokerage both local and national.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
An older Gentleman introduced me to the real estate business. I decided to get involved in real estate for several reasons. Most importantly, I enjoy helping people and being a real estate agent gives me the opportunity to help them with what is for most people, the single largest purchase they ever make in their lives. I also like to market homes, negotiate and look at different properties. I appreciate the uniqueness in each home I see. I make a good living and I like not having a cap on my earnings. I also enjoy the flexibility of setting my own hours and growing my own business the way I want without having a boss that stands over me telling me what to do.
