- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a standard fee which includes minor repairs. We don’t charge customers extra if we can complete repairs while tuning. Often sticky keys and pedal issues fall into this category.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. What are the customer’s goals with the piano 2. What is the condition of the piano 3. If more than a tuning is needed, we create a priority list based on desire and budget 4. Follow up with client for servicing and teaching (if the customer needs networking for an instructor)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are members of the piano technicians guild and have been since the 1970s. All training has been through apprenticing.
