Nathan was super responsive and quickly came to help me with my hard wired smoke detectors, which had gone haywire. He got the work done quickly, same day, and was very professional. I will definitely be using this contractor again for my electrical needs.
Nathan was a life saver for me tonight. My outlet shorted and had me on edge. He responded promptly, asked detailed questions, and reassured me there was no immediate danger but if I would like, he would come out for an emergency call tonight. Within 1.5 hrs from my initial contact, he has at my house on a Saturday night doing the repair. He checked everything to make sure it was safe and installed a new outlet for me. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in being upfront about pricing so customers know what to expect. Troubleshooting and service work starts with a $249 service call, which includes the first hour of diagnostic or repair time. Larger installations and projects are typically quoted in advance based on the scope of work, materials, permitting, and site conditions. Whenever possible, I provide options so customers can choose the solution that makes the most sense for their project and budget.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by learning exactly what the customer is looking to accomplish and asking a few questions to understand the scope of the project. Depending on the job, I may be able to provide initial guidance from photos and information provided, or I’ll schedule a site visit. From there, I explain the options, provide clear pricing, and make sure the customer understands the plan before any work begins.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, formal electrical apprenticeship training, and years of hands-on field experience. My background includes new construction, electrical installations, maintenance and troubleshooting, as well as specialized experience with commercial fire alarm systems. I hold Rhode Island Master Electrician License A-5591. I also bring 12 years of previous sales and management experience with Lowe’s, which gave me a strong foundation in customer service, project planning, and helping customers find practical solutions.
