- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
All of my quotes to my clients are flat rates based on the information that was provided/stated in the request by the customer. I truly prefer to speak to my clients to get a better understanding of the session and can then confirm that the quoted price matches the session accurately. Booking a wedding photographer can be a tough task, I try to make it easy and smooth for my clients. I offer discounts on Engagement sessions when you book your wedding with me :)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically we will communicate over the phone as a first introduction and to discuss the photography session needed. If the customer would like to book my services I will email a contract to them. If it's a wedding session I recommend meeting in person (if possible) to have the chance to get a better feel for what kind of photography style my clients are interested in and to further discuss the wedding. Lastly, a week before each wedding I'll call to confirm all the fine details once more.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a high school student I had the opportunity to travel to Italy and France, I managed to use about 30 rolls of film and after they were developed I found that I had a major passion for capturing the beauty of the world around us, that we sometimes take for granted. When I capture memories for my clients it's a very rewarding, emotional experience. Life is short and moves too fast, make it important to have a snapshot of the important things in your life (I can help you with that!)
