Kevin traveled to our air bnb in Newport where we were visiting for a bachelorette party. We thoroughly enjoyed our selfdefenselesson with him! He was engaging and educational. He tailored the selfdefense course to us ladies and how we can use our strengths to combat an aggressor. He also made sure it was super fun and always checked in about triggers, just in case. Definitely recommend, we feel inspired to continue selfdefense when we return home!

Starting something new can be intimidating. The instructors and fellow students at Bushido Martial Arts & Fitness do their utmost to be welcoming and to help you feel like you haven't been thrown into the deep end. The small class sizes and multiple instructors/assistants make the classes accessible to all levels. While the material is deadly serious, the atmosphere is conducive to learning for all ages and all levels of physical ability.

Our 6 year-old has been taking classes at the Y for a few weeks and is looks forward to this class every week! We can't say enough good things about the program and the instructors. They're patient with the kiddos but instill respect and structure to keep the class focused and moving. Every class is a little different and the lessons are well planned so it keeps things interesting. Highly recommend!!
