Linda has taken such wonderful care of not only my own dog, who is challenging at best, but several Foster dogs I have had in my home. She is incredibly flexible and juggles her schedule to accommodate the client. She knows a great deal about dogs and their behavior and has offered helpful professional tips when appropriate. I cannot recommend Linda enough and my dogs would agree. I do not know what I would do without her!

Linda and Kate did a wonderful job with my little guy. A little adjustment was necessary in the beginning but overall they did a great job. They also had to adjust their personal schedules to accommodate my requested walking times, but it seemed to work out. Even left a written report for each time they took him out.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet and if training work out a plan that meets the clients needs for time and purpose.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a retired registered nurse and pediatric nurse practitioner and CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer. In addition to passing a national certification exam that requires 300 practice hours and endorsements from a fellow trainer, veterinarian and client. I must aquire 36 hours of continuing education for recertification every 3 years. I attend professional conferences, webinars and web-based training.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started training a little rescue pup with the goal of doing therapy work (ie. reading program in schools) and fell in love with training. The training I am doing with dog "parents" is very similar to the human/child parenting classes I taught years ago.
