About
I've been teaching guitar over 20 years now, and have seen hundreds of students. I cater my teaching to the individual needs of my students. I am a lifelong student of all styles of music on the guitar and have been performing my whole life. There is much that I can show you. I give an hour lesson for $50.00.
About me: I have a bachelor's degree in Music Composition and guitar performance, and have been performing my life as a professional guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer since the 60's. I am a founding and still active member of John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band, with Platinum charting albums and singles. I make my living performing and teaching guitar.
I teach at my home in Narragansett. I have availability weekdays, Am's, afternoons and eve.'s. I work on weekends, so I refrain from having students at that time.

I had not picked up a guitar since I was nine years old, which is more decades ago than I'd like to admit. After just five lessons have got back all I had forgotten and moved on to playing melody lines and started finger picking.
In addition to a long and distinguished track record as a performer as lead guitarist with Beaver Brown and other musical combos, Gary has studied music academically, so is able to teach beginning students like me, break things down to fundamentals and answer all my questions in a comprehensive way.
I am studying folk, country and rock, it helps that he performs and can teach everything, acoustic and electric.
I could not be more pleased.

I have been taking lessons with Gary for one year. Gary is an excellent teacher and a consummate professional.
He is knowledgeable, an amazing player and best of all he knows how to teach. I walk away from each lesson excited about the new things I have learned. I can not recommend him highly enough.
